Present perfect simple o continuous: la diferencia

La forma simple muestra el resultado y cuántos. La continua muestra la actividad y cuánto tiempo.

Cuidado si hablas español

  • Llevo dos horas esperando es I have been waiting for two hours.
  • No uses el continuous con verbos de estado: I have known her, no I have been knowing her.
  • Con un número, usa el simple: I've written five emails, no I've been writing five emails.
  • Con how long y una actividad, usa el continuous: How long have you been learning English?
