Cómo se forman
| Adjetivo | Comparativo | Superlativo |
|---|---|---|
| Corto: tall | taller | the tallest |
| Termina en -e: nice | nicer | the nicest |
| Una vocal y una consonante: big | bigger | the biggest |
| Dos sílabas que terminan en -y: happy | happier | the happiest |
| Largo: expensive | more expensive | the most expensive |
| Irregulares: good, bad, far | better, worse, farther | the best, the worst, the farthest |
Para decir que dos cosas son iguales, usa as más el adjetivo más as: as tall as. Para decir menos, usa not as ... as o less.
Cuidado si hablas español
- No uses more con un adjetivo corto: taller, no more tall.
- Se dice than, no that: bigger than me. Más grande que es bigger than.
- Agrega the antes de un superlativo: the biggest.
- Después de un superlativo usa in con un grupo o lugar (in the class) y of con un plural (of all).
